Ashes
aka The Big Kitty and Big Girl

Born: August 1991

The oldest is Ashes, also known as "Big Kitty" and "Big Girl" because of her size (due to hair fluff and slight chubbiness).  She's a pure bred Himalayan and the fluffiest, fussiest kitty we have.  Well, unless she's shaved and then Gidget wins the fluffy award.

Ashes was a gift from my grandmother, who has Ashes' fussier (yes, it is possible) sister, Princess.  Ashes is also the mighty hunter in our kitty group.  She might look like a little priss, but she's got a few mice kills under her belt.  Now that there aren't too many mice running around our house (six cats might have something to do with that), she has taken to "hunting" toy mice and crinkle balls.  And when she "kills" one of those, she lets us know!  She sends out her mighty warrior cry until someone congratulates her on her kill.  It's very cute, even if it usually happens between midnight and 4am.
