The Coolness that is Costco... in Japan

Back in May, Miho and Kei came to visit (refresher here and here). While they here, Dan and I took them to our favorite store on earth: Costco.

Well, I just got some pictures from Miho last month... of Costco. Not our Costco, though. The Costco is Saitama, Japan. How cool is that?

Miho at Costco.
Just one or two more bikes than in the US, yes?

Kei waiting in line for membership

I find it hilarious that the section descriptions on the wall are in English

Bits from Miho's email to me:
First thing we did was to line up for 30 minutes to get the membership card. To deal with many applicants, they were doing registration at a parking space.

Inside of the store was very similar to ones in US. Some goods are from Japan, but I think 3/4 of goods are from US. I found Karkland Multi Vitamin which I bought in TX... But the bottle size was a half of what I got, with almost same price.

This time we went by train, so could not shop a lot. If we have a car, we'd definately go there every weekend.
Yes, conversion!

Dan and I are like little Costco missionaries, spreading the word of buying in bulk.
