Chloe Status

Chloe was dropped off at the vet at a little before eight this morning. She should have surgery some time around lunch today and should be done by three and ready to go home by four.

So prayer and happy thoughts to the Chloe today, yeah? And watch this space for updates!

12:00pm Update:
Well, this isn't really an update. But it is lunch time so I thought I'd put something up as I anxiously wait. Haven't heard anything yet. I hope to know something in the next couple hours!

12:40pm Update:
Just got a call from the vet - Chloe's blood work is good. One kidney level is .1 high but the other one is fine so it is probably related to her being a little dehydrated from having to fast. So now she's off to get her teeth cleaned and the bump checked out and removed!

2:20pm Update:
YAY! Just got a call from the vet. Chloe is awake and did great. Her teeth were fine and the bump was fat! The vet said that the fat had kind of herniated through her muscles in that area. But since it is just fat we don't have to worry about any scary cancer or weirdness or anything. Yay! I'll get to pick her up after work today and I can't wait!

5:40pm Update:
Chloe is at home, safe and sound! And quite a bit high from pain meds. She's got an incision about an inch or so on her right hip where they took out the fat hernia and two layers of sutures underneath. Once she's not as high and wriggly, I'll see if I can grab a shot of her little shaved and cut hip.
