All-Star Game

This weekend was the NHL All-Star Weekend. In the past, Dan and I have always managed to miss it. Last year we remembered it but only saw the last event in the skills competition. This year, however, we got it all - Saturday's practice skate, Skills Competition, Young Stars Game, and Sunday's All Star Game.

Of course, I had to show love to the All-Star weekend this year as my favoritest hockey player of all was finally selected to play in his first All-Star Game, SuperDuck Jean Sebastian Giguere.

He was even voted in by the fans as a starter! Of course, that's probably because the All-Star Game was held in Montreal, Giguere's hometown. And let me tell you, the hometown heroes got lots of love from the Montreal fans.

JS has had a rough year - not only have his stats not been up to previous years, he lost his dad last month, so the All-Star selection has got to be a little bittersweet with that. But he deserved it and I look forward to him playing in future All-Star games.

And I look forward to remembering to set my DVR so I can watching them!
