Go Jiggy! Uh, Jonas!
Wow, I can't believe it is almost playoff time in the hockey world! The past month Dan and I have been bad about watching hockey. We haven't been watching too much TV other than Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares on BBC America and our oh so guilty pleasure ('cause it's funny, people) WWE RAW. But this week I've made a determined effort to get back in touch with my Duckies.
Sadly, for so close to the playoffs, things aren't looking all that shiny for the Ducks. Giguere is having back spasms so Hiller has been in the past few games (and doing a good job, thankfully).
But, un-shiny line-up or not, the Ducks managed to clinch a play-off spot last night when the game against the Kings went into OT. That one OT point got them their spot and then they put a nice little cap on it by having a very exciting OT and then a long shoot out that went to 6 players. Teemu and Schnider scored in the shoot out (Teemu was score #3 and Schnider #6) to give the Ducks two points and the big ole W.
So go Duckies! Now we just need to make sure some opposing team behind is kicked in the playoffs so the defending champs aren't outed in an early round. 'Cause that would suck.

Jonas Hiller. Thank goodness he plays smarter than he looks.
