Weirdest Tea Ever

Okay, so contrary to my post this morning, today did not end up being a total waste. Dad was taking Cody to the vet about his elbow and asked me to join. It was a lot of fun - nice spending time one-on-one with my pop. Though I'm sure his ears were thisclose to being officially talked off.

Anyway, we went to Sprouts which is a specialty grocery store - they have a lot of organic and gluten free stuff (thus Mom and Dad discovered it because of Mom's Celiac disease). They had some regular teas there, but they also had some funky ones. And I couldn't resist - I got one of the funky ones.

Alvita Ginger Root Tea

Yes, ginger tea. It's, well, weird. Not bad, though. Spicy. I put three sugars in it (my normal is two except for chai, then I do three - yes, I like my tea sweet. You should see my coffee). It's spicy and kind of makes my mouth tingle. It's really just like eating candied ginger (got some of that for Dan today, too) but without the gooey bits getting stuck in your teeth.

Very weird.

Oh, and speaking of weird, Dad collected some acorns from the vet's parking lot. They were burr oaks or something? The acorns were really big - ping pong ball sized.

Big Ole Acorn

Again, weird. But cool. And that applies to both my dad and the acorn.
