Dunk Tank

This weekend was eventful. At least I think so. Sunday after the church service, I got baptized. Or, as our pastor calls it, dunked. (Don't worry, he's joking).

My parents came up Saturday and spent the night so they could go to church with us Sunday - they wanted to make sure they were there. I think they were pretty pleased. I'm glad they were there. The pastor was nice enough to do it after the service even though 5 people were being baptized during it. I just didn't want to be in front of all those people. As obnoxious as I can be, I'm also pretty shy. Anyway, some church elders were there as well as a family that was the first one Dan and I were social with when we started going to Bear Creek. Okay, so far they have been the only ones, but other people have mentioned wanting to invite us to dinner and frankly, just having that said is nice and thoughtful, I think, even if the dinner never happens. But Monica did actually cook for us, so she rocks.

Anyway, just thought I would share.
